SaaS Veteran Paul Lynch Brings Extensive Industry Expertise to Chargify as New CEO

2019 has been a year of evolution for Chargify. We have spent the better part of the year delivering enhancements and features to better serve what we see as the crucial billing needs of B2B SaaS businesses. And our merchants have validated that our outlook of the market direction and SaaS needs are true: 

  • More than 90% of our customers have adopted our price points capability, giving them the freedom to easily choose, change and customize pricing.
  • Customers are adopting our richer SaaS-tailored analytics — more than a quarter of our customers leveraged our enhanced, free subscriber analytics within the first 60 days of its availability in the market. 
  • Chargify has exceeded a $1B threshold in the amount of payments that we process through our platform annually. 

All of this work has resulted in the rapid growth of our business — we experienced significant, double-digit revenue growth in the last year and we have more than doubled our team. 

Now our evolution continues with the announcement of Paul Lynch as the new Chief Executive Officer of Chargify. 

Paul is considered one of the leading SaaS CEO’s in the global market. Paul has enjoyed enormous success throughout his career in industries spanning Telecoms, Hosting and Software as a Service. In his most recent role, he led Assembla, a then flat Subversion code repository business, to 200% growth over a three year period, successfully exiting the business to HGGC-backed Idera in September 2018. 

Paul’s overarching business philosophy is to put the customer first — and it is this belief that has made him such a formidable leader throughout his career.

Tom Rotem, who led Chargify through major milestones, including the expansion of our presence into Europe and our acquisition of ProRata (which enabled us to deliver Revenue Recognition capabilities for SaaS businesses) has stepped down as CEO of Chargify. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.
